What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on our site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. Their privacy policy is here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid including embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from those images.

  • Client accounting data may be stored in FreeAgent (data centres in Ireland), compliant with EU GDPR standards

  • ID checks may use trusted third-party providers such as Veriphy, who meet UK AML regulations
